Inventor Stan Kain of Atascadero, CA has created a product to repel gophers and similar burrowing animals in a safe, efficient, and humane way.
As a dedicated landscaper and DIY problem solver, Stan identified a major issue in California – a rampant gopher and mole infestation. With 67% of consumers spending an astonishing $18 billion annually on largely ineffective, environmentally harmful solutions like poisons and chicken wire, he saw a need for change. The chicken wire solution was particularly flawed, beginning to rust just three days after being buried 4 inches below soil. He knew there had to be a better way. Motivated by these issues, Stan invented the Gopher Guard.
